Home from college for the summer, Samantha Kinsey steps into her role as nanny for her two favorite little charges. But when she finds herself playing chauffeur more than playmate, her summer outlook quickly turns from fun to bleak. That is, until she drives the girls to a family-owned ranch and meets Colton McCoy—a genuine, hard-working cowboy, who’s as set in his ways as he is handsome. Although he claims he doesn’t need any fun in his life, Sam’s determined to help him find it. But she’ll soon discover that cowboys are about as easy to train as wild mustangs.

Stick in the Mud Meets Spontaneity is about an adaptable girl and a not so adaptable guy. It’s about learning to accept people for who they are and realizing that sometimes who they are is exactly who they should be.

This is the third book in the series and this one was just as fantastic as the other two! We met Sam in the first book and she was lovable from the beginning so I was excited to read her story!

Sam has been away at college and is back home for the summer before she heads to New York for her internship in the fall. She's worked hard and it's a dream come true for her. When she takes Kajsa to the ranch where she's working, she meets Colton. She's attracted to him right away and as they get to know each other, she becomes confused about what she really wants in life.

Sam and Colton's first meeting was hilarious! It involved family drama and her "Summer Bucket List," which he got his hands on. That list continued to come up throughout the book and made for some funny and interesting conversations and adventures. Sam and Colton are so different from each other but balance each other out nicely. Sam is adventurous but does have her limits. Colton is more steady but is willing to make adjustments when he needs to. There's a lot of humor but also some serious parts as well. It was fun to read about the characters from the other two books and get updates on them.

This is an entertaining book and an entertaining series and is definitely worth the read! I'm kind of sad to see it end but look forward to reading what Rachael Anderson comes up with next!
