Rowena's childhood friend, Evan, is back from war so they are getting reacquainted. His mother is a widow and her father a widower, so she enlists his help in playing matchmaker for their parents. She's also looking forward to spending more time with him. There is an attraction there but there's also a complication which will change everything.

 Rowena and Evan are both characters that are easy to love and cheer for. There's some awkwardness between them at times and they need to figure out their relationship. There are some great secondary characters (my favorite being Nurse Murray) which add to the story.

 This is short so doesn't take long to read and it felt complete. It's a great story of childhood friends whose feelings evolve as they get older. They are perfect for each other, but there's an obstacle to overcome to get to a happy ending. I enjoyed how it all played out. This is a great pick if you're looking for a quick, clean Regency romance to keep you entertained for an afternoon!
