Ryder Redmond can’t wait to begin her new life in New York City, with her first real job after college. But the big city gets a little more complicated once she meets the charming and mysterious Damian Wolfe. On the surface he seems perfect, but her friend Hunter is suspicious of his all-too-straight smile and his motives towards Ryder. With her heart on the line, Ryder will have to decide just how much she trusts the handsome city slicker.
This is a fun re-telling of Red Riding Hood! Ryder Redmond has just graduated from college in accounting and heads to New York for her first job. She quickly meets Damian Wolfe, who is handsome and charming, and shares her beliefs. She needs to find housing and gets off to a rocky start with her roommate, Lily, but they quickly become friends. She also becomes friends with Hunter Payne, a member of the accounting firm's legal team, and the three of them frequently hang out together.
Lily and Hunter don't like Damian, which perplexes Ryder since he's such a great guy. He's successful and they enjoy each other's company but there are times that she questions why he's interested in her.
I enjoyed getting to know Ryder and her friends. She had some great interactions with each one of them. She was brave heading to New York by herself. Some of her adjustments to life in the big city were humorous. I was engrossed in her story and enjoyed the twists and turns along the way to a satisfying ending! There are some religious elements but this is a book that can be enjoyed by anyone that loves to read clean, contemporary romance. This is the third book I've read by this author and I have enjoyed them all. I'm looking forward to reading more from her in the future!
