Make Mondays the best night of the week! With a full year of easy family nights that correlate directly with the 2015 Primary theme, this book is the perfect solution for busy families everywhere. For each week you’ll find a complete lesson written for you, plus songs, scriptures, ideas for treats, and activity options for younger and older children.
This is a great resource to help make Family Home Evening easy to prepare! The lessons supplement the Primary theme for 2015. Each lesson starts with a Resource section, which lists scriptures, Primary songs, hymns, and pictures from the Gospel Art Book. Then there's a lesson, activity and challenge.
The lesson can be pretty short which is ideal for young children and there's a scripture passage to read and review which can lengthen it for older children. Some of the activity sections are separated into ideas for younger and older children and others are activities for all ages. The challenges are a great way to reinforce the lessons and help everyone live the concepts that are taught. A CD-ROM is included which makes it easy to print out a challenge card for each family member. She refers to these as challenge cards for the kids but as I read through them, I realized that they are things I need to be doing as well so I plan to join in!
I haven't started using this yet but I definitely will. I love that the lessons are laid out for the entire year and my children are old enough to help prepare lessons and activities. There are also simple dessert recipes included at the end which children can help make. This is a wonderful aid to strengthen homes and families and I'm excited to get started!
