Say good day to the magical island of Bali! Join Anamika, one of the Yoga Kids, as she travels with her family to Bali, Indonesia. Surf like a surfer, dance like a Balinese dancer, and sit like a monkey.

The book includes a list of Kids Yoga Poses, Map of Bali, Basic Indonesian Phrases, and a Parent-Teacher Guide with tips on creating a successful yoga experience. This yoga book for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2 to 5) is more than a storybook, but it’s also a unique experience for children.

This is a fun book!! Anamika is a yoga kid from India who is on vacation in Bali with her family. The story tells what they do and see, like surfing, swimming, watching shopkeepers, villagers, dolphins, farmers and much more. Then there's a simple yoga pose with a picture that shows how to do it. The poses match the story so children will feel like they're acting it out. This is geared towards children ages 2-5. Mine are much older than that but I still wanted to try it out on them to see what they thought. They felt that it was too easy for them but it was still lots of fun!

At the end is a list of the poses with key words, the name of the pose and the picture that demonstrates how to do it. If you're not sure exactly how to do a pose, you can visit their website to get descriptions of each one. There's also a page with Basic Indonesian which tells how to count from 1-20 and say some basic phrases ("Hello," "How are you," etc.). My only complaint is in this section. There's no pronunciation guide and I've never spoken Indonesian and have no idea how it sounds so that section seems useless to me. There's also a Parent-Teacher Guide which is a great resource filled with ideas on how to make the most out of this book.

The story is simple and the illustrations are bright and fun. If you're looking for a book that will get your young children moving without them even realizing it, then this is the book for you!

That is so darn cute. If I had a child I would want them to have it. I thinks teaching kids while they are having fun will benefit them in a big way. I had to check it out because of the fantastic cover.
