CD Review: Jenny Oaks Baker's Classic: The Rock Album

Grammy-nominated #1 Billboard Violinist Jenny Oaks Baker takes her style to an all-new level with her new release, Classic: The Rock Album. Featuring classic rock favorites like Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin), Sweet Child of Mine (Guns and Roses), and Yesterday (The Beatles), you won't believe your ears as one of the country's most accomplished and acclaimed violinists combines her insane talent with the heart-pumping tunes that have defined a genre for generations.

Track List:
Liverpool Suite
Everybody Hurts
Kashmir/Four Seasons
You Are So Beautiful
Scarborough Fair
Stairway to Heaven
Fields of Gold
Pinball Wizard
Sweet Child of Mine
Yesterday

This CD is fantastic! I was intrigued by the combination of classic rock songs played on the violin and knew it was something I wanted to hear! I attempted to play the violin when I was younger and begged my mother to let me stop. My fingers were calloused and it was difficult. She made me hang in there for two years before allowing me to stop. So I know how difficult the violin is to play and am amazed at Jenny Oaks Baker's talent!

I've listened to this CD several times and my two favorites are Kashmir/Four Seasons and Pinball Wizard. I love to put it on in the background and find it uplifting and motivating. I will definitely listen to this over and over!

I cannot even tell you how much I LOVE this CD. My favorite hands down is Sweet Child of Mine...hehehe! That was one of my favorite songs when I was young and hearing it played by the violin with the orchestra behind it. MIND BLOWING! It's amazing! I am so glad you liked it also!
