Roxelle McCann is eager to meet the family of her best friend, so she takes a mini-vacation to the Navajo Nation. Roxelle expects to find out more about Navajo language and customs and to be awed by the beauty of Monument Valley. She does not expect to find love among the monuments. The man she meets offers both a surprising possible future and a tender reminder of the past.

Roxelle's best friend, Kyra, is getting married and takes her to Monument Valley to meet her family. While there, Kyra becomes reacquainted with Will, a man she hasn't seen for many years.

This was a fun, quick read, but since it was short, some things were rushed that might otherwise be fleshed out more. Kyra's relationship was rocky and there were times that I was confused about what was happening and why. She wasn't an easy character for me to like or root for. I enjoyed how Roxelle and Will's relationship developed. They are both likable characters. There were some complications which I wasn't sure could be overcome.

I liked the location of the story and learning more about the Navajo nation. The ending is satisfying, and I like that it's clean so I can recommend it to anyone!
