Lane Bishop is a hardworking, intelligent, young woman. With her recent move to Chapel Hill, she is determined to leave behind the drama and effort of keeping up with the dating scene. Even so, Lane somehow manages to get dragged out by a gaggle of girls to go watch boys play soccer. Just watching is not Lane’s forte, so she joins in the fun and leads her team to victory.

Rather than feeling intimidated by the vivacious beauty on the opposing team, Jamie Hamilton is intrigued. Risking his “untouchable” dating status, he decides to pursue Lane—with a little help from his older brother Simon. With Simon’s behind-the- scenes assistance, Jamie proves irresistible, even to a disillusioned dater like Lane. But as she gets to know both brothers, Lane can’t help but wonder—beneath the grand gestures and romantic words, is she falling for the wrong guy?

Lane Bishop has recently moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She meets the Hamilton brothers when she's taken to a soccer game and decides she wants to join. She quickly gets the attention of Jamie, the "untouchable" one, with her competitive side. He's the perfect guy. Until she also gets to know his older brother, Simon, the safe one who's in a long-distance relationship. Who will she choose in the end?

 Lane is an easy character to like--she has a lot of spunk and isn't afraid to go after what she wants. Her job also sounded like a lot of fun--she was in charge of special events at a local inn. She was thrown into a tough situation at the beginning and was able to figure things out. Jamie is super competitive and lives and breathes soccer. There are times that Lane questions her feelings for him, but then he shows her his sensitive side and she's hooked again. She gets to know Simon as he helps her with a situation at the inn. She notices things about him that are appealing but realizes she needs to stop thinking about him since he's Simon's brother and he is in a long-distance relationship, anyway. Her relationships with both brothers became complicated as time went on and things were happening that she wasn't aware of. There's some mild drama as she works things out. I thought the author did a great job of exploring those relationships without the situation getting too messy.

I love that this was set in North Carolina. I lived in Raleigh for 11 years when I was growing up and have fond memories. I'm a Duke fan, and Simon was a Duke graduate, and I freely admit that that helped sway me over to his camp. I like that the author touched on the Duke/UNC rivalry but it wasn't a huge part of the story.

 In the end, I loved this book!! It was fun to read and hard to put down once I started. There are some great secondary characters which add to the story. This is the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be the last! There are more Hamilton brothers, and I'm hoping there will be more about them in the future...

Definitely read Love at First Note!! That was my first book by Jenny, and I adored it! I laughed, I cried, I smiled... It was awesome, especially if music touches your heart as strongly as it touches mine!
