Enjoy a happier, healthier life—starting with an attitude of gratitude! Research and revelation have both declared that staying thankful results in a host of benefits and blessings. You will be grateful for this book which contains a full month of ideas, quotes, and scriptures to get you feeling more grateful and help you see the Lord’s hand in your life.

This is the third book I've read by David Christensen in this format and I loved the other two (Power in Prayer and Parenting Principles) so I was excited to read this one, too! Like his other books, the format is short chapters that start with a quote, then he shares experiences on how to apply the idea, followed by self-examination questions, scriptures and a parting thought. I enjoyed reading his thoughts and questions on the topics covered in this book.

Some chapters I felt I could relate to more than others. This past week has been especially tough for me on many different fronts so it was a perfect time for me to be reminded to show gratitude and look for the good in tough situations. As I've done that, I've felt strengthened and able to keep moving forward. I have also seen the hand of God in my life more and more lately and have so much to be grateful for!

I'm naturally a glass half empty kind of girl and I realized years ago the importance of expressing gratitude in my life. I have quite a few gratitude journals that I've kept over the years and notice a huge difference when I keep them and when I don't.

This book is full of great information, questions to examine where you are in certain areas and ideas to help make improvements. I love how short each chapter is so it's easy to read one each day of the month. Like his other books, this is one I will continue to read again and again!

About the author:

David A. Christensen has taught missionary preparation and Book of Mormon classes for over thirty years. His testimony and enthusiasm for the restored gospel was shared with missionaries and members in the Chile Santiago North Mission where he served as president, and again in Central America when he was president of the Guatemala Missionary Training Center. He counts his children and grandchildren as his most important converts, and his best friend and wife, Deena Bond Christensen, his eternal companion.
